Please check back for the next Donation Day.
Book donations to the Friends of the Sonoma Valley Library are accepted on scheduled Donation Days only. We are not accepting book donations outside of designated donations dates/times. No early drop offs. Please do not leave books by the library door or book drop.
Donation limit is 6 boxes or bags per donor. All donations must be checked in by a volunteer at the table by the sheds behind the library at 755 West Napa Street in Sonoma.
Proceeds from our book sales generate the largest source of funds which serve our mission in making the Library a state-of-the-art center for the community.
Thank you for you interest in donating books to the Friends of the Sonoma Valley Library.
How to Donate:
We gratefully accept donations of books in very good/excellent condition, CDs, DVDs, and vinyl records. A Friends Volunteer or library staff member can provide a receipt if required. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows.
We do not accept the following: dirty or damaged books, textbooks, encyclopedias, magazines, books on audio cassette, or VHS tapes. If you have torn, damaged, or dirty books, we are advised by Sonoma County Waste Management that you can put them in the blue recycling bin if they are soft cover, or if the hard covers have been removed and discarded. Thank you!
