Why Donate?

Thank you for you interest in donating books to the Friends of the Sonoma Valley Library. Proceeds from our book sales generate the largest source of funds which serve our mission in making the Library a state-of-the-art center for the community.

How to Donate:

(IMPORTANT: see update above on donation process during COVID-19 pandemic). A library staff member will provide a receipt if required. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows. Please note: We gratefully accept donations of books in very good/excellent condition, CDs, DVDs, and vinyl records. We can no longer accept the following: dirty or damaged books, textbooks, encyclopedias, library discards, magazines, books on audio cassette, or VHS tapes. If you have torn, damaged, or dirty books, we are advised by Sonoma County Waste Management that you can put them in the blue recycling bin if they are soft cover, or if the hard covers have been removed and discarded.
